LATUKRNET

LatUkrNet is the Latvian-Ukrainian Think Tank Network. It is a cooperation platform with Ukrainian think tanks focusing on security, defense, and related issues.  

It reflects Latvia's long-term and cordial support for Ukraine, a testament to the strong bond between our nations and our shared commitment to each other's national security.    

The network aims to support think tanks in Ukraine with our know-how and experience. LatUkrNet will serve as a platform for joint events and publications. 

The Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law is a think-and-act tank that has been working in the Ukrainian civic sector since 2005, focusing on developing independent media and civil society and building the rule of law in Ukraine.

The Centre for Global Studies Strategy XXI is a nonprofit policy and security research organisation dedicated to generating valuable advice related to energy security policies, maritime security, international security, critical energy infrastructure resilience, and energy interactions within the Black Sea, Caspian Sea, Baltic Sea regions, Central Asia, the European Union and the United States. East and South Asia are also the focus of attention of the centre’s scholars.   

The Centre of Policy and Legal Reform is a non-governmental think tank established in 1996 that works at national and regional levels in Ukraine. The organisation actively develops and promotes institutional reforms in Ukraine. It aims to strengthen democracy, uphold the rule of law, and promote good governance. Key focus areas include constitutionalism, public administration, administrative services, the judiciary, anti-corruption initiatives, criminal justice, local self-government, civil society development, and European integration.

The Institute for Social and Political Psychology, under the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, focuses on research and development in the humanities and social sciences and market and public opinion analysis. Its mission is to explore socio-economic and socio-political issues in Ukraine.

The Scientific Research Center of Independent Forensics, under the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, focuses on forensics science. The priority areas of activity include conducting high-profile forensic examinations related to severe consequences to state or public interests in the field of economy, criminal offences involving the use of cyberspace and related to the legalisation of proceeds obtained through crime, financing of terrorism committed by persons authorised to perform the functions of the state or local municipality. Center's experts conduct examinations to determine the amount of damage caused by the military aggression of the Russian Federation.

The Transatlantic Dialogue Center is a non-governmental, non-partisan think tank committed to advancing Ukraine’s European integration objectives and promoting Euro-Atlantic cooperation among influential individuals and officials within EU and NATO contexts. The organisation functions through geographic programs: the United States, Germany, Spain, and Latin America, concentrating on analysing Ukraine’s relationships with these countries and regions.

The Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research is a non-governmental think tank promoting constant democratic changes in Ukraine. It analyses Ukraine's socio-political landscape, advocates for effective governance and better legislation and practices for civil society, and engages in civic education. Its main activities include implementing resilience and social cohesion principles, addressing Crimea's de-occupation and Donbas's reintegration, developing the best decisions for civil society, and supporting European integration.

Vox Ukraine is an independent analytical platform dedicated to Ukrainian economics, governance, social progress, and reforms. Since 2015, Vox Ukraine has made a quantitative evaluation of the reforms’ progress in Ukraine and highlights the most significant changes. VoxCheck project exposes lies, manipulations, and Russian propaganda both in Ukraine and abroad. Since 2018, VoxCheck has been a signatory of the Code of Ethics of the International Fact-Checking Network at the Poynter Institute, and since 2020, is a partner of Meta to counter fake news on Facebook and Instagram platforms.
